Used Aircraft Engine Flat Rack Import — Door-to-Door Delivery
Published on March 5, 2025
Project Background
The client commissioned us to pick up an aircraft engine from a bonded warehouse in Indonesia and ship it in a flat rack to Tianjin Port. However, the shipper was unable to perform the flat rack container loading and lashing, while the domestic client was unfamiliar with the procedures and requirements for importing used aviation materials, leaving the project with significant challenges.
Solution
We worked closely with our local partners in Indonesia, leveraging each party’s strengths: the Indonesian partner took charge of on-site loading and professional lashing to ensure the cargo was stowed safely and in compliance, while our team assisted the domestic client in sorting out and processing the full set of procedures and clearance documents required for importing used aviation materials. After the cargo arrived at Tianjin Port, it was selected for destination customs inspection. We immediately helped the client prepare the documents required for the destination inspection and accompanied the client on site throughout the inspection, completing the process smoothly.
Project Results
Through the joint efforts of all parties, every challenge was ultimately overcome. The cargo was successfully imported, cleared and released, and safely delivered to the client’s designated warehouse, completing this cross-border transport engagement with full success.
